We are busy toiling away on another batch of Dreamer framesets. This is our made in USA, dirt road, light touring and all around good time bike. The geometry is designed around 27.5”x48mm tires, but will have clearance for more. It has disc brakes and through axles. There are a lot of braze-ons for fenders, manything cages in the main triangle, and a few different rack scenarios (although not for full rear pannier racks). There will be clearance for a compact double crankset and simple routing for a front derailleur, but you can also run with 1x if you’d like.

There are a few changes and improvements to the construction of the bike. First is that we are using a mix of Columbus tubing for the main triangles and chainstays which should save a little bit of weight. Second is that we have rearranged the chainstays to prioritize the possibility of a double crankset over maximum tire size. 1x drivetrains are one of the neatest things to happen in a while, but the older stuff is still really great and there is no reason not to use it. So there is a little less tire clearance than before still a lot of room around 27.5”x48mm tires, which are really ideal on this bike, and bigger tires will fit up to about 2.1”. Last big change is that we are using some in-house rear dropouts with a chainstay mounted disc brake tab.

The sizes this time include extra-small through large. The extra small frame uses 26”x48mm wheels, and has a shorter fork and chainstay to match.

The framesets should be complete and ready to ship by the end of March. We hope to be able to keep some kind of active stock in the future, but for now there are a limited number of size available. We are taking pre-orders now for any of the remaining stock with a deposit of $500. Email fab@crustbikes.com. The final price ($1,750) for pre-orders will be the same as stock frames, but you’ll have your pick of a wide range of colors. Still got to figure that part out, and it will probably include some feedback from you.
